CAEPR Welcomes Visiting Indigenous Fellow
Monday 21 October 2013
CAEPR extends a warm welcome to Elizabeth Marrkilyi Ellis, who joins us as a Visiting Indigenous Fellow during October 2013. Elizabeth is a Ngaatjatjarra educator, interpreter and linguist from the Ngaanyatjarra region of Western Australia. Over recent years she has collaborated with CAEPR researcher Inge Kral on a research project documenting Western Desert speech styles and changing modes of communication across the generations. Elizabeth will present a seminar with Inge on 23 October where they will present data from their research and discuss the implications for young people’s evolving modes of communication and social interaction.
